B Wild Musings
A love letter to creative souls…
Dearest Wild Ones,
That painting, that book, that screen play has not been done, not the way you can do it. Don’t let the thought that someone has already painted “that painting” or “written that book” or already “taken the shot of that mountain scape” distract you from creating it the way you would. Your style is unique and your voice is unique. No one else will make something exactly the way you would. You lovely creative soul, you have a unique perspective. This Earth does not contain two of you. There is no one in the world that sees the world in exactly the way you do. I promise you, someone wants to hear you tell that story your way, take the photograph from your perspective and someone wants to see that muse created in your style.
Call yourself writer. Call yourself artist. Call yourself a creative. Believe it when you say it or say it until you believe it. Say it with pride and confidence. Give yourself that gift - claim it and make it part of you. Having a creative soul is a gift. It is an act of pure rebellion to create every single day. When you see the confused looks on peoples faces when you introduce yourself by saying “I am an artist”. Don’t feel bad about yourself - feel bad for them and what they are missing out on. You know that vibration, that energy that comes up from deep within when you compose a song or sketch a skyline? The full body buzz when you write an epic story or poem or the excitement and joy when you finally work your way through a difficult portrait, sketch or painting. The buzz of inspiration when a new idea shows up. Don’t feel bad when someone isn’t as excited about your passion as you are. That is ok. Hopefully they have a passion that fuels them, that gives them a sense of bliss and purpose. A passion that leaves them like a tuning fork buzzing from within.
Dearest Wild One, create regularly if not daily. Make time for this soul enriching path. Don’t take the freedom to create for granted. If you have the freedom and desire to create something beautiful, moving, emotive or fun you should pounce on that opportunity like it’s your prey. Do it for yourself to feed your soul but also do it for those who aren’t blessed with the freedom to create everyday. If you feel the deep calling to create, you should make sure you honor that and in doing so you also honor those that can not.
Wild One, I promise there is time. So write, paint, draw, chase the golden hour, whatever it is you create - honor your creative passion and make time for it. If you feed your creativity it will in return, feed your soul and pay you back in energy.
Love,
Bambi
